What’s New
If a second call came in while you were already on one — and you declined it, or just let it ring
out — your first call could go silent on Android. The call stayed connected, so it looked fine, but
neither side could hear anything, and it did not recover on its own. Fixed: cleaning up the second
call no longer touches the audio of the call you’re still on.
Recording a voice note during a call also behaves sensibly now:
- Voice Recording appears greyed out with “Unavailable during a call”, instead of looking
available and then refusing when you tap it. - You are no longer asked for microphone permission first, only to be told afterwards that
recording isn’t possible. - When recording genuinely can’t start, the message says so plainly rather than blaming a call
that isn’t there.
One smaller fix along the way: a notification message that had already been replaced by a newer
one could reappear a moment later, so you’d see an old, unrelated message pop up. Dismissed
messages now stay dismissed.
Call audio recovering after an interruption from your personal cell line — which arrived in a
previous update — is unchanged, and now reports itself properly so we can spot it in the field if
it ever misbehaves again.
